Learn Continuous Deployment Best Practices in New Wilco Quests from Armory

Armory, the continuous deployment company, has just launched the first continuous deployment challenge on the Wilco platform.

Wilco, also known as the “flight simulator” for software engineers, allows companies to create engaging training quests in a real-world development environment.

Armory and Wilco are proud to partner on quests, hands-on narrative challenges that teach developers continuous deployment concepts. By completing the quests, developers will gain skills and learn how to quickly and safely deploy their applications all the way to production.

Armory’s first quest is now available on Wilco’s Quest Builder. In the Enable Continuous Deployment quest, devs can learn the foundational best practices of continuous deployment, starting with how to configure Armory on their current Kubernetes cluster.

We plan to launch future quests that teach engineers how to:

Coming soon in Armory’s second quest, developers will learn more deployment strategies, including how to add a second environment and integration tests. A third quest is planned for learning how to add a canary deployment strategy.

Why Did Wilco Choose Armory as a Launch Partner?

Wilco uses Armory’s Continuous Deployment-as-a-Service platform for their day-to-day deployment needs.

“Armory is a game-changer for teams without dedicated DevOps personnel like we had,” says Shem Magnezi, co-founder and CTO at Wilco.

“[Armory’s Continuous Deployment-as-a-Service] provides a powerful platform for managing infrastructure and applications, and offers a range of features that make it easy to automate and manage complex deployments. This has helped us to save time and reduce the risk of errors, allowing us to focus on delivering value to our customers.”

Because of this strong partnership, Wilco and Armory decided to work together to extend their strengths and help teach developers about continuous deployment best practices via the Quest Builder
