KubeCon 2018 – Seattle
Dec 17, 2018 by Justin Lee
In December, Armory Tribe attended KubeCon Seattle to see how organizations across the world are using Kubernetes and Spinnaker. We met with a number of industry groups and hosted a private dinner with Spinanker users to learn their use cases and pain points.
As more organizations advance down their DevOps journeys, many of them want to learn how to to meet the CI/CD ideal; they need to continuously integrate (CI) to aggregate all of their developers’ work into a single usable product, and they need to continuously deliver and deploy (CD) to accelerate their code to production.
There are a number of CI tools on the market – Jenkins, CircleCI, TeamCity, and dozens more – but for the CD piece of the DevOps puzzle, Spinnaker is the way to safely and securely push your code to multiple environments and clouds.
Armory Spinnaker is Spinnaker at enterprise scale.
In this video, I demonstrate the Spinnaker UI and show off a simple Spinnaker pipeline. This pipeline takes takes a Docker image tag, pushes it to a Development Kubernetes cluster, and then waits for a manual validation before pushing it to Production.

Armory Agent for Kubernetes Simplifies K8s Complexity
I’ll be upfront with you, I’m a sucker for a good origin story. It’s one of the reasons I spent hours engrossed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe not too long ago. Rooting for incredibly flawed individuals with an outsized sense of duty and superpowers to back it up….What’s not to love? My partner has a […]
