In December, Armory Tribe attended KubeCon Seattle to see how organizations across the world are using Kubernetes and Spinnaker. We met with a number of industry groups and hosted a private dinner with Spinanker users to learn their use cases and pain points.
As more organizations advance down their DevOps journeys, many of them want to learn how to to meet the CI/CD ideal; they need to continuously integrate (CI) to aggregate all of their developers’ work into a single usable product, and they need to continuously deliver and deploy (CD) to accelerate their code to production.
There are a number of CI tools on the market – Jenkins, CircleCI, TeamCity, and dozens more – but for the CD piece of the DevOps puzzle, Spinnaker is the way to safely and securely push your code to multiple environments and clouds.
In this video, I demonstrate the Spinnaker UI and show off a simple Spinnaker pipeline. This pipeline takes takes a Docker image tag, pushes it to a Development Kubernetes cluster, and then waits for a manual validation before pushing it to Production.

Introducing Quick Spin One of the most common challenges that organizations face when implementing a continuous deployment strategy is the time and focus that it takes to set up the tools and processes. But a secure, flexible, resilient and scalable solution is available right now. Want to see if it’s the right tool for your […]

Today, Armory is excited to announce the availability of the GitHub Action for Armory Continuous Deployment-as-a-Service. GitHub is where developers shape the future of software. After a developer writes and tests their code in GitHub, it must be deployed. Armory’s GitHub Action for Continuous Deployment-as-a-Service extends the best-in-class deployment capabilities to Kubernetes. CD-as-a-Service enables declarative […]
