Armory Hackathon with Lookout
Feb 2, 2018 by Armory
Armory is a very customer-facing company. We build features based on needs and pain point expressed by our customer. For example, we recently did a hackathon with Lookout, one of our customers, at an offsite location in Dillon Beach, CA.
Here is a transcription of this video:
Ben: My name is Ben with Armory just wrapping up data one of the lookout Armory hackathon, enjoying a delicious meal.
DROdio: Let’s see what we’ve got here.
Speaker: I’ve repeated the office, we’ve got our nuts our curbs, our meats our sateen’s, we’ve got have Dukes.
Speaker: Configuring the comparison of metrics.
DROdio: Tell us about what you actually implemented?
Speaker: I stopped rebuild from happening.
DROdio: Breakfast with Ben.
Ben: Breakfast of champions.
DROdio: Breakfast of champions, we’ve got some omelets going on we’ve got some bacon, we’ve got to have some bacon and another beautiful day in Dillion beach the kind of day that makes you want to stay in and create some product.
Ben: Code all day.
Speaker: I have this idea, I have a deploy heartbeat and then use this option for after x amount of minutes stay up the canary so that it will have twice as many heartbeats coming out.
Ben: I think it’s great that we can all get together with a customer on site, spend some time bond and also just pump out some code, if we would have done this otherwise it probably would have taken a lot longer and so that’s one of the reasons we do it but also to get to know everyone a little better.
DROdio: That’s an amazing view, so what was the experience like for you?
Speaker: Oh it was a great time, it was a unique experience for me to work with vendors and get to have so much input on development of something that I’m going to use and ask for what I want and all that it was a good experience and get some help getting it set up and seeing the first things and the prototype and the stuff is working and looking forward to using it.
DROdio: Yeah, looking forward to using it to, giving us a lot of feedback, awesome, thanks for coming.
